Between January 19 and February 20, 2022, MAP hosted a series of art classes and activities in relation to our ongoing exhibitions at the time. Children had the opportunity to experience MAP’s exhibitions through a new lens as they participated in various interactive activities on-site, including learning new languages, challenging their perceptivity, and turning wastes into art. The questions on the mission cards given out drew on many interesting stories about both the Museum itself and its current exhibitions, Xu Bing: Found in Translation, and Cai Guo-Qiang: Odyssey and Homecoming. Such activities not only helped the children obtain comprehensive knowledge about the artworks exhibited, but also provided effective training of various skills, both cognitive and hands-on. Children were also able to build deeper bonds with their parents during the process. Upon accomplishing the missions, gift prizes were given out at MAP SHOP to the participating families.
